Aide
As an Aide, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming and safe classroom. You'll supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, fostering positive relationships. Daily tasks include assisting with classroom setup, supporting the daily schedule and routines, and conducting educational activities as directed by the teacher. You'll also be responsible for serving meals and snacks and contributing to light cooking and cleaning. It's crucial to maintain constant supervision of all children. This role does not involve toileting or diapering. You'll work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to ensure smooth program delivery.
Floater
A Floater plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing classroom environment by collaborating with staff across various classrooms. A key responsibility is ensuring no child is ever left unsupervised while fostering positive and respectful relationships with all children.
This flexible role involves assisting with setting up indoor and outdoor activities, following classroom schedules, and facilitating activities using developmentally appropriate practices. Floaters will also assist with lesson plans when needed and adhere to primary caregiving routines (but cannot assist with diapering or toileting).
Additionally, the Floater will handle tasks like sanitizing equipment, assisting with meal service, and contributing to facility maintenance and security. This position demands adaptability to cover different classrooms and staff breaks and lunches.
